Things to do in Pamukkale and Hierapolis

5-4 hours by road from Antalya, and this is not a coastal detour but a separate inland destination best combined with nearby Lake Salda.

Most visitors see it as a full-day organised coach excursion from Antalya, leaving early and returning late, or break the drive with an overnight stay near the site rather than attempting an independent there-and-back trip in one day.

Entry to the combined Pamukkale-Hierapolis ticket is paid, and walking on the wet terraces is restricted to marked barefoot paths to limit erosion, so this is not an open-access site.
