Things to do in Aspendos
Aspendos is a Roman theatre roughly 45km east of Antalya, near the town of Serik, generally reached in under an hour by car. It's a Roman-era structure, not a Greek one, built in the 2nd century CE, and it's regarded as one of the best-preserved Roman theatres anywhere, still hosting concerts and festivals in season.
An ancient aqueduct is visible from the site, a short walk or drive from the theatre itself. Entry is ticketed, and most visitors are in and out within two to three hours, making it an easy half-day add-on to Belek or a combined trip with the Köprülü Canyon further inland.
It's a different site from Perge, on the Antalya side, and from Side's theatre further south.
