Things to do in Göynük Canyon

Göynük Canyon sits roughly 40km south of Antalya, a short drive past Kemer, and is a very different outing from the Düden or Kurşunlu waterfalls back in the city: this is a wet-footed hike through a narrow gorge, wading and scrambling along a cold mountain stream rather than viewing a single drop from a platform.

A basic route through the lower canyon suits most visitors in trainers or water shoes; a more sport-oriented via ferrata option higher up adds harnesses, cables and a longer time commitment. Water levels and what's open shift with the season, heaviest and coldest in spring snowmelt, lower and easier by late summer. Entry is a modest paid fee at the canyon gate.

Don't confuse it with Köprülü Canyon further east, which is built around river rafting rather than walking.
