Things to do in Olympos and Çıralı

5 hours by car on winding coastal roads. They are two distinct places sharing one valley: Olympos is a Lycian ruin field, its marble blocks and city walls half-buried in fig trees and undergrowth, ending at a pebble beach where the river meets the sea (entry a few euros, open year-round).

Çıralı, reached by a separate road, is a quiet village behind a long protected beach where loggerhead turtles nest between May and October, so sunbeds and building are restricted near the shore. There are no large hotels here, mostly small pensions and treehouse-style bungalows, which is the main contrast with Kemer 25-30km north.

Olympos village is also the usual starting point for the walk up to the Chimaera flames, covered separately.
