Things to do in Kaş

Kaş is a small harbour town on the Lycian coast, around 185-190km from Antalya airport — about 3 hours by road on winding mountain roads, noticeably further and quieter than the resorts closer to the city.

There is no real beach in town; the coastline here is mostly rock and pebble, and Kaş is better known among visitors for scuba diving in clear water than for sunbathing.

The old town's narrow lanes and low-rise houses give it a more low-key, lived-in feel than Side or Alanya, with restaurants and dive shops rather than large hotel strips. Kalkan, the sunken ruins at Kekova, and Kaputaş beach are all within a short drive and make easy half-day trips from a Kaş base.
