Things to do in Fethiye

5-4 hours by car along winding coastal and mountain roads, and belongs administratively to Muğla province rather than the Antalya Riviera proper. It's a working port town with its own marina and a covered bazaar, better suited to a multi-night stay than a day trip from Antalya.

Most visitors use it as a base for Ölüdeniz, roughly 15km south, and for the Saklıkent gorge inland, rather than treating the town itself as the main event. Summer air temperatures run into the mid-30s°C, with the sea around 25-27°C; the covered market and marina restaurants stay busy into the evening once the heat breaks.

Expect a taxi from central Fethiye to Ölüdeniz to cost in the region of EUR15-20 one way.
