Things to do in Kalkan

5 hours (roughly 190-200 km) by car from Antalya Airport along winding coastal and mountain roads. Its old quarter climbs a hillside in whitewashed stone houses with wooden balconies, largely converted into boutique hotels and villa rentals, which puts accommodation here noticeably more upmarket than in neighbouring Kaş.

There's little of Kaş's dive-shop scene; instead Kalkan works well as a quieter, restaurant-focused base for day trips to Patara beach and the Kaputaş cove, both under 30 minutes away by car. Peak summer sea temperatures reach around 25-28°C, with the town far quieter in the October-April off season.
